Two New 650 Scale Concert Classical Guitars in Construction + Guitar festival/exhibitions

Updated: May 4

2025 has been a busy one so far! Repair work is just constantly rolling in, which is great. While I am repairing all sorts of guitars/instruments, I have also been working on building two new Concert Classicals. These will be for two planned exhibitions I have in the diary this year.

Concert Classical Guitar parts, before assembly

These guitars are essentially my 'Standard' 650mm scale Concert Classical guitar model. If there is such a thing... You can see the parts for them in the photo on this blog post. One will have Spruce top, the other a Cedar top. Both with Indian Rosewood back/sides & bridge, cedar necks, ebony fingerboards and headplates. Finished with Shellac/French Polish. They will both have Irving Sloane by Waverly machine heads and come with a Hiscox Pro II case They will be available for sale (priced at £4000 each) and will be accompanying me to a couple of festivals/exhibitions this year! So get in touch if you would be interested in one of them, you will have to wait until after October to take ownership, but you can reserve one! The first one is the 'Classical Guitar Retreat' in St Andrews, July 8th-13th. I'll be there over the weekend from the 10th-13th. This is Scotlands premier Classical guitar festival. There is always lots going on, workshops, concerts, teaching. Find out more at: https://cgretreat.com/ Then later in the year, October 3rd-5th. I will be in the North West of Scotland, in Ullapool. Ullapool hosts one of the biggest guitar festivals in Scotland. Covering various genres, styles and guitars. There is loads on over the weekend. Find out more at: https://ullapoolguitarfestival.com/

Exciting 2025, my first time exhibiting in this style at festivals.
